Our Father's Day Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated Josh's 4th Father's Day. We had originally planned on going camping for the weekend but had to cancel at the last minute. Since we ended up not having any plans we mostly just did what Josh wanted. This drove me nuts, I like to have a plan and when we don't we usually end up not doing much. On the other hand not having a plan was a present in its self to Josh! So Saturday we drove up to Silver creek Falls for a BBQ. My original idea for this BBQ was for us to celebrate Father's Day with my father in-law and Josh to be able to spend sometime with his Dad. This plan quickly went south when I was informed he would not be coming but was instead working :( . The BBQ went on anyways and was very relaxing. Josh made chicken thighs on the BBQ that were delicious. I had brought a separate meal for myself but when I smelled that chicken I quickly changed my mind. We went on a short hike, i.e. no steep hills my back was killing me and I was carrying the babe. It was such a nice time we decided to plan an overnight trip next Sunday. On Sunday Josh was fed all of his favorites: biscuits and gravy, Walery's Pizza, and one large steak! Overall he said he had a good day and we still did too much!

Free Date!

Last night Josh and I went on a completely free date! I printed off two free coffee coupons from Border's so we decided to go have coffee. Thankfully my MIL was available to come watch the kidlets for 2 hours so we could sneak away. When I say sneak away I literally mean sneak away. We waited until both kids were fast asleep before quietly exiting the house. Alexis has been having a mild case of separation anxiety lately and watching me leave usually turns into a HUGE fit! So we were off to have free coffee and enjoy actually browsing Border's. Josh discovered that they have travel books, he figured this out because is was able to look up at the category signs. He realized he is always having to look down when we are there with the kids. Hmmm I wonder why? Unfortunately we were only able to enjoy browsing for a half an hour :( . We then decided to rent a movie from Red box. We've been waiting to rent Grand Trino FOREVER! While waiting in line Josh came across a promo code so we ended up renting the movie for free. The movie was great and best of all we went on a completely FREE DATE!

Presley Slept Through the Night!

I'm so excited that my baby slept through the night. She slept from 7:45p.m. until 7am! This is huge for Josh and I, over the past 6-7 months we have not gotten a full nights rest. For me, on the other hand, it has been about 8 months! I really hope she keeps this up.
On another note I've been trying to be as frugal as possible. This includes making homemade baby food for the first time, making homemade freezer jam, and getting wipes, sunblock, and aspirin for pennies. The baby food is very tasty. I bought a one pound bag of baby carrots for a dollar, roasted them, pureed them and wallah 5 containers of homemade baby food! This is more then double what I would've got if I just bought the pre-made stuff. Presley loves the carrots and can't get enough. Freezer jam is so easy! Who would've thought? We plan on having some tomorrow with pancakes. Yummy! My most frugal adventure yet is my Walgreens adventure. I used 4 ecotrin $2 coupons and got 4 $2 register rewards. They were on sale for $2 so the were free! Then I used the rr's to buy 2 packages Walgreens brand wipes, 2 tubes walgreens brand sunblock, and one huggies pack of wipes. After using my 4 rr's and a $0.75 huggies wipe coupon I spent a total of $0.21 on all of it! I was so proud of myself. Yeah!!!

Girls Can Be Sooo Much Fun!

So about a week ago Alexis was playing dress up when I caught her including her little sis. Now I had to snap some pics of this super sweet moment because those days I am sure are few and far between. Right?

This is how it started....

Then Mommy thought it would be fun to play also...

Aren't they just so sweet!

Peanut's First Boat Ride

Sooo Much Fun!!!

Saturday Josh decided to take the family plus Uncle Bruce to Detorit Lake for the day. I was very excited to being using our boat when it isn't summer yet. This was Presley's first boating trip and Bruce's first without a jacket. The day went perfect, the baby slept most of the time! Alexis is a water dog. She would've never gotten out if we didn't make her. Daddy and her went tubbing for a short time. It was really weird to be pulling my husband and daughter but so cool at the same time! It was a great day!

BBQ with Friends

Bailee and Presley hanging out.

Alexis and Cody playing on his new swing set!

On Friday we were invited to a BBQ at Adam and Shaina's. I ate my first cheese burger in I think a year and a half! They were fantastic!!! Alexis had a blast playing on Cody's new swing set. They are finally at the age were they will just play and not fight constantly! Bailee is getting soo big,I can't believe Alexis and Cody aren't babies anymore. The time just flies by so very fast.
